What to Expect

What I Can Do For You

I will work hard to get you the best results for your case. Here are some of the most common possible outcomes:

Dismissal

The best possible result in your case is a complete dismissal of the charges against you and getting your record sealed. This occurs usually when the District Attorney feels he will lose in trial. When the DA knows the defense attorney is skilled and experienced, he may dismiss the case rather than spend the time to lose at trial.

Lesser Offense

Sometimes, the DA just won’t let the case go. Instead, it is possible to have your original charge dismissed in exchange for a guilty plea on a less serious charge.

Best Possible Deal

In some cases, after a complete review of the files and all the evidence available, it is determined that your case cannot be dismissed nor won at trial. It may be necessary then to try and work out a deal with the DA for the lightest punishment possible. DAs usually don’t give good plea bargain offers to lawyers they know they can beat. I may even be able to get your case dismissed after you serve a probationary period, called Deferred Adjudication.

Set the Case for Trial

When the case can’t be dismissed, and when the charges won’t be reduced, and when the offers just aren’t good enough, I’m ready and willing to take your case to trial.
